Well yes and no!!!! Churchill apparently contacted Roosevelt for a meeting but Roosevelt said he was busy dealing with the Japanese, of course when Hitler declared war on the USA on the 11th of December that changed things!

    Thanks for that.

And Im suprised someone hasnt mentioned that there was confusion on the part of the Japanese over the date of the attack, of course it took place on the 8th of December in their time. And lets not forget that the Japanese embassy were late in giving the American government their declaration of war, it should have happened bfeore the attack.

This was received today via email.

    Aloha,

Aero-News and Flight Journal have run the story on our effort asking the Navy to move their solar panels to a different location and not desecrate the landscape and hallowed ground of Ford Island runway:

We created a petition on Change.org and have received over 1,000 signatures to date. Click on the link below and scroll down to see the comments that have been left. There are power statements left by people around the world who are concerned about saving the runway. Please sign it:

This is an effort to preserve a sacred National Historic Landmark! Please share this message with your friends.

    Mahalo,
    Blue Skies,
    Ken
