    and in reality we had only repainted a fraction of the stuff to yellow before strike & RAF G went IRR green !! At Marham the paint shop was so overwhelmed in 74/5 so us lads in GEF special forces were doing our own resprays in a shed behind the old GSE section. There are some Humbrol blue greys- 79 and 96 but both are matt and niether is as I remember the colour

    I have read that model cars are always made slightly wider, otherwise they look very odd. Hollywood always made the sets and props in cowboy films 7/8'ths size, so the cowboys always looked bigger.

    we had 2 bantam dropside trucks in the green with yellow stripes livery on role equipment flight at Lyneham, they got replaced by 2 bedford TK [cl] 5 ton dropside trucks.
