While browsing a different subject altogether, I found a link to this website to the history of the Woodason Aircraft Model Company and includes photos of Heston aerodrome under redevelopment.
Many of this companys models were used in the films we all know, 'In Which We Serve', 'The foreman Went To War' ect, make good reading to pass a bit of time, plus the quality of the models is beyond compare, have a read....

Craftmanship at its best. As a boy my nose would be glued to the plate glass window of London base airline offices to see their latest passenger 'plane shown as a scale model by Woodason. All hardwood and handmade.
And I wonder whare those models ended up?
I would imagine in private collectors hands or museums....Hopefully, rather than thrown out. They were extremely wonderful pieces of work, and as Peter says sheer craftsmanship.
