Howdy, Noel
Hi, my name is Noel Ryan, one of the co-founders of this forum along with Chris Percy and Richard Flagg. I run the Old Airfields website http://oldairfields.fotopic.net/
I have a long standing interest in aviation in general with a focus on airfields. A book, co-authored with Chris, and a close friendship with Richard has led to this our latest project. I hope that these forums will bring like minded folk together, promoting the research and documentation of our airfield heritage.

Hello again Noel!!
Your idea to start a forum about WWII airfieds is just excellent
You are filling gap
Thanks very much for the time spending on that project !
Are you thinking to move up to Berlin... meaning adding the 'B' & 'A' ALG's ?
Thanks Olympus man, the main thing is to keep it going, keep posting news, info, pics and photos. We too thought there was a gap, prove us right!
Best regards
NJR
NJR,
Nothing was done up to now for WWII airfield infrastructure
Just important is to know if your forum
- ends on V-day or for still existing WWII airfields, up to today...
- are ALG included up to V-Day ?
as this isn't clear for me and it would be interesting to fix it now to know the limits of our 'play garden'![]()

Again GOOD SHOW and long life to this forum
Hi Olympusman
The forum is regarding any disused airfield, wartime airfield (regardless of use) and associated sites.
We will not turn any content away unless it is not relevant to the forum!
Post away
Richard
Hi NJR
Its nice to find a website that I am interested in. I am just starting to visit local airfields and reading up on there background. I live and work near to Sandtoft Airfield.
I was intersted in aircraft as a kid and now just starting to pick it up again.
Keep up the good work
Martin
