Thank you, I find what you have said very interesting, and I never thought I would see a photo of the WAAFs at Tangmere. I will send you a PM about this as I guess it is a bit off thread but, as my cousin was there at that time, I think she must be on the photo.

Only others I know of are for the bomb store or pre-1940

Hi, I am a new member. Could you tell me how I access these plans?

    Many thanks in anticipation

Hope you like the pictures. There is a romour the museum may be moving across the road......If this goesahead it will be bad news for this famous old airfield. But it's still here for the time being. A great place with some secrets ......unfortunately some of these have been blocked off by the landowners liberal use of sileage!

Nice selection mate. An airfield i'm really keen to look over at some point. Doesn't look like there's much chance of getting inside the tower anymore by the looks of it.

Hi Mick what good photes you have taken of Tangmere .Its sad to see the airfield looking forlorne & diserted .The control tower looks almaost lost surounded by those bushes . At least they have managed to put atribute on the gate to the men & women who served there & anice little memorial too .
    Regards ,
