Very good REF, I remember you telling me of this memorial a while back, but had no-idea that it was this big !! Ideal weather for it too. I shall have to call-in there on my rounds...

Wonderful pictures of a very evocative memorial. Thanks for posting them.
I remember the eagle well from my service in the Air Corps, though the mural wasn't there then. You always had the feeling it was staring at you when you were stagging on at the gate.
We used to call it The Morale Eagle, to reflect the feeling you got trailing back to barracks after a weekend away!
