Been going past this National War Memorial for years and never stopped to see it properly til today. Never seen one like this that lists individual information.

Saw this memorial board in the porch at Toot Balden. The name Barrett appears four times. Could be cousins? though possibly all brothers? There was no-one around to ask. Either way what a terrible loss !!!!

I agree there Paul, not often (if ever) do you see that type of information on WWI memorials. Good find!
This Memorial is at Bradfield, near Theale [Reading] Berks.
Many of the French memorials state where they were killed but here its very unusual and nice to see. I have been to many of the French battle fields and can imagine where many were killed and the Bagdad and Persian ones we are seeing it today. My Granddad died of the effects of gas in the 1940's.
Took these today at Thatcham, I know that it's not a solitary local war grave as such, rather a joint one.
Winchcombe
This is the memorial at Winchcombe, Nr Cheltenham. Photographs taken today.
