1645 the height of the English Civil War was you spying for Cromwell?
This is Wantage Hall, along the Upper Redlands Road in Reading. It was used by the RAF during WW II.
This notice-board with the small RAF information sheet is just inside the main entrance. This is all that I was allowed to photograph today as the students were still in-class ? not that I saw anyone, anywhere ! But was told that if I came back during the summer holiday's I could take a few more from outside the entrance porch ?? similar to those shownSadly no-one had the key to un-lock the glass fronted cover so that I could take a photograph of the sheet without reflections. Ah well....

airfields man do you know anything/have any photos of Stanway House. Research has shown the House was used as the war time home of the Kerr-Sander Secretarial Collage which supplied staff to MI5, SOE and the War Office (it's normal home was Empire House, 176 Piccadilly, London
Jenna, I called there last week,no camera, went there again today and took these photographs in the heavy, but fine rain. Notice how close the church is to the House, picked up a brochure from this church last week, can't find it now !!
Even though the place is closed on Wednesday's I drove into the grounds to photograph the church from the other side.
I took these today in the dismal hazy rain. Blue plaque by the door in the penultimate photograph.
Hope that I can be forgiven, as I stood on a derelict tomb to take this photograph today. Stanway House again. All of these old gravestones would have obviously been here during the SOE's tenure at this House.
