Very nice photograph there Paul, enough to make up two full crews, with an extra ( Observer) going along for the ride.
Yes, I was there, and a wonderful time was had by all.
Although the association only holds full reunions every two years, to comemorate the 70th anniversary of the 401st's activation in 1943 there will be a "mini-reunion" next year, to be held in Dayton.

Dayton and Savannah are about equidistant from Washington and will prob cost you about $300 (I don't what that is in GBP) roundtrip airfare. If you drive, count on 10 hours or so each way. The National Museum certainly has a lot more a/c and all periods of aviation while Savannah focuses solely on the Mighty Eighth - awesome in its own right. If you came in summer, I'd go to Savannah as the nearby beaches are spectacular and the old town's setting is unique (in America anyways) and charming.

Confirmation that the "mystery dispersed site" at Deenethorpe that isn't on the RSP is one, rather than a collection of packing cases:
Not the clearest image I agree, it's a lot clearer on the film this is a still from...
