Fantastic pictures (and indeed website of the Scottish active airfields) there, looks like my living hell though - rows of Gannets ready for scrapping!
I'm not sure if Abbotsinch was an RNAY as such (Donibristle/HMS Merlin was) but it definitely had an RDU and AHU which handled the aircraft seen in the above shots.

From The EH project - NP and myself:
Maintenance had been performed at RAF units, but with increasing numbers the Navy soon required facilities of their own, and in September 1943 Abbotsinch became their first Aircraft Maintenance Yard. This was followed by Belfast (Sydenham), Donibristle, Evanton, and Stretton, plus two non-aircraft units at Fleetlands in Hampshire, and Almondbank near Perth.

For anyone interested there are some pictures of aircraft at Glasgow in the 1980's and 1990's to be found here

Thanks for the kind comment A.N.

I've put quite a lot more shots on Flickr but the following three seem appropriate for AiX as they at least show bits of the terminal / airport buildings.

Here we have a BAC-111 that is having an identity crisis - Dan-Air livery but British Caledonian titles - parked on the East side of the (1980's)domestic pier. The part of the pier visible was / is the main BA lounge.

This one was again taken from the old staff car park to the West of the domestic pier looking East to the BA lounge and with the Control Tower in the background.

Moving now to completely the other side of the terminal this shot shows the ramp to the East of what was the international pier with the BA maintenance hangar in the background. Note the Hs748 parked outside the hangar and the engine de-tuners on the right (I think for 737's).
One other unusual point of note in this shot - it isn't raining and the ground is dry !
