As my son has flown to Spain for ten days with my car keys on his person (dipstick), I thought I would go through the archives to cheer myself up and I came across a very nice booklet published in 1971 of RAF St Clement Danes Church of the RAF, located in the Strand, London.

Anyone been there? It looks amazing- never knew it existed till now?

I have once, and it is a great old building, even for a non believer like me! An original Wren church very badly damaged during the blitz and rebuilt for the RAF.

Been there too often, I'm afraid, mainly to memorial services for friends and colleagues who are no longer with us.

The most stunning part of the Church, for me, is the vast aray of Squadron and Unit Badges, engraved on slate tiles let into the floor. This display, along with the display of original and copy Badges in the Royal Air Force Club, in Piccadilly, is for me one of most important sights in the City.

Yes i went exatley a year ago it alovely church to visit especially for any one who as an interest in the RAF .
Got talking to the caretaker & his wife who showed us around well worth a visit when in London .

St. Clements's may be St Clement Danes or St Clement Eastcheap both of which are near the wharves where merchantmen landed citrus fruits.
