Matching airfields FGT was first used as a store for bagged cement while the airfield was being built. It was one of, if not the first building to be erected.

A device for training gunners in Free Gunnery, usually involving projected footage of aircraft.

But I've always wondered exactly what mechanism was in the British version....something slightly less monsterous perhaps ?
