Found this by accident on holiday in the car park of a sports centre......yes Rich I was lost!

Hmmmm......well Zempke's woolfpack....the 56th Fighter group were possibly at Horsham St Faith during this period........Here's what "Little Friends" have to say:
Kingscliffe January 12 1943 to 4 April 1943
Horsham St. Faith 5 April 1943 to 7 July 1943
Halesworth 8 July 1943 to 18 April 1944
Boxted 18 April 1944 to 9 September 1945
As Lt Williams was flying a "razor back" P-47 the type and date would tend to point towards Horsham.
