I an currently researching this location as I have visited the site and had a super time photographing the graffitti left by American Soldiers who were doing Guard Duty at the old Gate Lodge.

I have identified 6 separate names which I will be researching. There are also some other comments including "15 Years now a Buck Ass Pvt" written by K Porter from Barton in Maryland.

I have attached a picture to show the type of thing I have found. - I will have lots more on my website soon.

Hi Peter,
I have put all the pictures onto my website now and am working through the internet to see what I can find out about them. - I find this type of thing really interesting and hope they all survived the war.
There is also a Belgian who has left his nickname.
