I still think (assuming these are digital) that your macro is switched on! The first two are pin sharp.
This is the plaque to the first parachute jump. It's fixed to the Bandstand in Montpellier Gardens Cheltenham.
With no adjustments between the first two and the third and fourth... all done on automatic....No reasonable explanation.!!!
That's odd! Image 2 is in focus and the other one is not!
Is this plaque claiming that the event was the first parachute jump ever?
EDIT: No, he was the first English parachutist
I find the time of fall of nearly 13 minutes to be questionable. How high did his balloon go or was his parachute more of a glider?
EDIT: The British Parachutist Association says his height was about 9000 feet (2743 metres) so his rate of fall averaged around 12 fps (3.2 mps). Quite slow!

I'd agree with that, the macro only works close up, from distance you need to select the auto funtion again. Technology hey!
Where abouts is the plaque in Cheltenham airfields man?
It's at 3 Kings Road, here as he stated REF.
Graham
where did he write that???
EDIT - I have just seen where!
Three more taken with a PROPER camera.
