ARG Future Projects

I thought it might be worthwhile posting up on here, all future ARG projects so members can contribute if they wish.

There are two that I am involved with at present:

RAF Cosford and 9 MU history - this is 75% complete

Listing and providing details of all WWII aircraft factory dispersal points and as many sub-contractors as possible. Horsa glider contractors / sub-contractors and Castle Bromwich aircraft factory DPs also completed

Listing and providing details of pre WWI and WWI aviation related companies (project completed up to 1918 inclusive)

All of the above is research that I am carrying out at TNA.

Yes please Bigbear the Rolls Royce factory at Hillingdon would be a good starting point as it is a factory examplar of how it should be designed and built as a shadow factory.

Will do. I've already posted some recent photos of the place, but I'll get back there as it is slowly disappearing as bits keep getting knocked down in preparation for re-development.

Let me know if there are any specifics you need as I'm well placed to tackle the local council archives and RR Heritage Scotland Branch at East Kilbride, otherwise I'll dig out whatever I can find.

We are currently cateloguing the entire Alconbury drawing archive, including site plans and several thousand building drawings.
