Bimbling along the main drag in Amesbury the other night we spotted the "Amesbury Aviation Heritage Centre", which is a small display room in the George Hotel. They have an excellent display of early aviation photographs of before and up to the end of the First World War. There are really good pictures of the airfields and the hangars at places such as Stonehenge, Boscombe Down, Larkhill etc.

As we approach the Centenary of the formation of the RFC, I recommend a call here when looking at the early aviation roots in the area.
