Great atmospheric photographs. The last one looks like the pilot may have been Ranald Porteus who did amazing stunts with Auster aircraft at Farnborough air shows in the '50s.

Miles Gemini and an Avro York parked up at Rearsby. I wouldn't have envied the York pilot having to land and take off an aircraft that size on the fairly short grass runway. -
