Welcome to the forum buster (Mike). Hawkinge was a favourite of mine and still recall it as a relatively intact airfield with only the hangars missing. That was in the very late sixties and early seventies!
Hi to all good friends my name is Mike I live in a villiage called Hawkinge in Folkestone Kent I have lived here 8 years and been to the battle of britain museum many times and never tire of going. I have always had an interest in wartime history and recently I have been to Methwold airfield I was adopted after WW2 and have recently been looking for information on family billets in this area. Any information I would be greatful for many thanks from Buster.
