Hello ALL

I am a proud daughter of a late ex RAF LAC who served with the 2nd TAF 2 Group No. 314 Supply and Transport Column.

If I can be of assistance to anyone, I have a copy of this unit "Royal Air Force Operations Record Book" from D Day+1 to April 1946 from the Royal Archives in Kew. It is a daily diary of this transport unit in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. I would be happy to look up info for others.

Logistics support was a key element in the planning of the invasion of Europe resulting in the counties of central and SE England housing massive stockpiles of fuel, ammunition, food and supplies.
