There's a camping/caravan site on the site of the museum.....would be a good base for exploration of Lincolnshire Airfields. Anybody got more information on this?............(Might be a long walk to the nearest Pub!)

I found at least two of these things at Metheringham while wandering around the site in April. Any idea what it is?



They were both near aircraft dispersals, basically square buildings in shape, with a blast wall in front of the doorway. Now very much overgrown of course.

Looks like an M&E Plinth.

No ghosts, but the 'thump-bump' of tyres as you drive along the runway sets the imagination working.

Hi, Guys, I am needing a bit of assistance ! does anybody have a site plan, aerial photo, etc, of Metheringham, Circa WW11 era, I know a chap who has a workshop on the old base area, he is trying to work out where his workshop is in relation to the old airfield setup. any help would be most appreciated,
