    RFC Spennymoor

    A 38 acre site measuring 450 x 480 yards adjoining Clyde Terrace to the SW of Spennymoor was turned into a landing field between April 1916 and June 1919 and was used by No 36 (Home Defence) Squadron.


    After WW1 the site quickly reverted to farmland.
